Here are some indications of the deep insightful attitude that producer Joe Mallozzi has on the issue of body swapping taken from the November 7th entry of his blog:

IJH writes: “What about what Young and his wife did to Telford? They used his body for sex without his consent.”

Answer: You assume it was without his consent. Although nothing was said either way, it seems most unlikely that someone who was giving up their body for a conjugal visit wouldn’t consider this to be a possibility.

So, silence means we can assume consent. Good to know! Oh, and don't worry about any other consequences, since Brad Wright points out:

Gatelady writes: “Having sex while using someone else’s body is wrong. What about STD’s? What about pregnancy?”

Answer: As Brad once said “They know what causes that now.” And there are precautions that can be taken to prevent both.

There. See? No problem!

Oh, and per the October 31st entry

if you were offended by that broom closet scene in Air I, I guarantee you’ll be clawing your eyes out of your skull given what we have in store later this season. Also, while I can understand why some may have had a problem with that broom-closet scene in the premiere given that it did come as a surprise to many, I can’t muster up much empathy or understanding for those complaining about the Scott-Chloe scene in Light. Again, if it’s a matter of not enjoying shows that focus on the occasional romance between characters, then that’s unfortunate – because that’s the type of show you’re watching. If, on the other hand, it’s an innate response to the very notion of intimacy no matter how modest the scene, then I’d suggest a deep-rooted personal issue that would be best dealt with somewhere other than this blog.

So, either you like what they give you or you need you psychological help. So very glad they cleared that up!

I love how they assume that I didn't want to claw my eyes out already at this drivel. And that actively insulting an audience is apparently how you keep them watching.

I had to sit on my hands to keep from clawing my eyes out during 'Earth'. The Chloe scenes seemed endless, not to mention pointless. How is the destiny of Destiny affected in any way by her pathetic former love life?

The body rape issue is just way too hard for me to swallow and their explanations just suck. Telford suddenly ending up in the middle of sex like that felt like a violation and I think that the way Lou Diamond Phillips played it, it doesn't look like there was consent.

Real people would not consent to this. And if some magical super waiver covers it all they should have had it onscreen since their magical stones play such a huge part in the story.

Actually, for just a moment, they managed to have a double rape going on - Mrs. Young didn't consent to have sex with anyone but her husband, and her husband wasn't there.

I've nothing against the *occasional* and *well-written* bit of romance, but given the track record of SG-1 and SGA completely missing the characters that have chemistry and throwing together the ones who don't, well, I doubt they have the first idea of what true intimacy even *is*.
