You know, something just occurred to me...
The Density is supposed to be farting Stargates into the void, right?
So why are there obviously-ancient old-skool Stargates on The Planet Of The Air-Scrubbers and like that?
Also, what keeps them from dialling home on any of them?
Lastly, if someone else says "We're Not Supposed To Be Here" I shall do something dramatic.

on 2009-10-24 10:52 am (UTC)I'm still watching but I only like Col. Young, and I have a suspicion he might get killed off. I want everyone else to die, they're all decent actors but I loathe the characters. I've gone back to S1 SG-1 and it's impressive how quickly a (relatively) convincing universe and technologies were sketched in, and how distinct the characters were. 5 episodes into 'SG - Ugh, No' and I'm still calling a character "Tits" because I can't remember her name. I know that anything they do will be stupid, because the writers want to keep the characters in an entirely artificial state of constant pretend-peril, like Scooby Doo in Space, instead of having a ship full of highly intelligent people work on a solution.
