tejas: (SGU-WTF)

I've been saving my sanity and not watching, but I'm thinking I might just get a big ol' bottle of JD this weekend and catch up on the fucked up mess episodes I've missed (all of them since the premiere ;-).

Why on *Earth* does anyone think people really want to watch boring people having tedious sex in a science fiction show? (Or in a procedural for that matter, any of you who are NCIS fans may have noticed the pounding the producers have been getting from those of us who want our dead petty officers back rather than more episodes of As the Bullpen Turns). For that matter, boring people having tedious sex sounds pretty damn dull no matter what kind of show it's in. Can't we at least get a decent serial killer in there to spice things up and put some of these morons out of our misery?

The Boyz From Bridge really don't have a clue, do they? I detested BSG (the first season wasn't terrible) mostly because it was filled with people I didn't give a damn about doing boring things that I also didn't give a damn about. But y'know what? I still enjoyed most of the first season because there was some decent storytelling around the people (the plots hadn't gotten boring yet). Oh, and I could even tell the people apart, unlike SG:WTF.

Seems like the 1.97 million from October 30th translates into a 1.3HH rating. (Sanctuary's 1.6 million is a 1.1 HH) More numbers for Friday shows. It does bother me that the writer titled the article in that same "slam SGA fans as haters" way that implies that the only possible reason viewers don't like it is that they are wankers with a grudge. Hmph.

SGU's November 6th ep placed fourth in the top ten Syfy shows that week. It had 1.63 million viewers. That's quite a way down from the "around 2.5 million" series high for the second episode. (Sanctuary had 1.42 on November 6th and placed sixth in the top ten.)
