This article and table make it clear that SGU's numbers are declining, slowly but steadily, with each episode. There are a few very tiny spikes, like the back half premiere, and some inexplicable troughs -- why did no one watch "Justice"? -- but overall the message is clear. Not only has this show consistently lost viewers in the 18-49 demographic, but it's lost about a million viewers total from premier to here.

But you know, the true truth of SGU can be summed up in the promo photo. You may have noticed TPTB's tired old whine about how SGU is concentrating on character development, and that was what the whole first ten eps were about and blah blah blah. Well goodie for you, caveboys.

Because I can identify Rush from the photo. I have *no* idea who Tits beside him in the skimpy top is. Now, granted, I am not a viewer. But I've seen a couple of eps, seen a lot of caps, read all the transcripts. She's being presented as if she's a major character. But who the fuck IS she?

The fact I don't know may have something to do with the downward trend on those numbers...

Please tell us how you did it, because I'm sure many of us are struggling with this....

I was noticing in the recent episode that (except Ming-Na, IIRC) all the leading women dress in either tank tops or tight short-sleeved tees. While the men, of course, are usually in long sleeves, and many are even wearing two layers (Eli, e.g.)

NONE OF THESE WOMEN IS OLD ENOUGH FOR MENOPAUSE. If it's cool enough on that ship for the guys to wear two layers, no woman who is not having hot flashes is going to be prancing around in a tank top!

oh but don't you know that women, because of their low IQs and high sex drives, have a much higher body temperature than men, so they NEEEEEEED to wear skimpy clothes and flash their titties. Men, OTOH, naturally run cooler and need extra layers of clothing, since all their bloodflow is being diverted to their brains, which are full of vast manly intellect that YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND BECAUSE YOU'RE JUST A GIRL.

I watched this last epi on Hulu, just because...and I have to say I was disappointed Chloe wasn't left in the Borg holding tank.
