One can also admire the way they demonstrate how bad violence can be. But I'm not entirely certain I've absorbed that important message yet, so I may have to go back and watch that part repeatedly....
at dragon-con joe flanagan was saying "send in bottles of water!" to save SGA, i think that ship has sailed, and sank. especially since they've sold off the props & stuff. i mean it nice that they're still trying, i guess. but at some point you have to declare the patient dead.
Oh, that is a thing of beauty. And yes, props can be remade, redesigned, costumes can be recreated -- at a critical point it's all a matter of getting the actors back when there's money and everything else falls into place.
I wouldn't really go so far as to call the last seasons of Atlantis "quality tv". There were some moments, but I think there might still be one or two eps of season 5 that I couldn't bring myself to watch and some of what I did watch was was pretty bad. Howeven, no matter how bad it got (and I think it might have been better if it hadn't already been pretty much written off) it was ALWAYS ALWAYS better than SG-U turned out to be. So, I'd totally vote SGA back! (If there was ever such a vote.)
A lot of the Season 5 episodes left me saying to myself, "That was fanfic!"
Not that I have anything against fanfic (read it, write it, love it), but it's not what I expect to see on the air. Yeah, they'd written it off. It's a shame.

while i don't, of course, endorse violence against women, i am really fucking sick of Chloe Armstrong...

I miss SGA. Its sad they canceled it, its even worse it was replaced with this drivel.
Chloe needs to be spaced.
