You know, something just occurred to me...

The Density is supposed to be farting Stargates into the void, right?

So why are there obviously-ancient old-skool Stargates on The Planet Of The Air-Scrubbers and like that?

Also, what keeps them from dialling home on any of them?

Lastly, if someone else says "We're Not Supposed To Be Here" I shall do something dramatic.

I think the writers keep forgetting which ship their characters are on. Supposedly there were two ships - the unmanned stargate squirter which went out first and a manned ship that followed behind to see where the first ships shat out the gates. BUT in the premiere, the characters made a point of saying that the Destiny had never had a crew which would make it the first ship, The Mighty Gate Squirter. But that statement was also fail because if the Destiny had always been unmanned then why did it have crew quarters, a shuttle, and a life support system that had been turned on?

Just thinking about this show makes my head hurt.

and you thought the timeline of the ancients made your head hurt... *g*

i think the dementia praetext of the series is that Density is the ship that was supposed to be crewed, but wasn't crewed because the Ancients had apparently developed ADHD and decided to Ascend instead, forgetting all about their ship. yea verily even though canon tells us that only some of them Ascended and the rest were hanging around Earth into historical times.
